A simple and juicy salad with sweet Bibb lettuce, tomato wedges, red onion, and Kalamata olives, dressed with a creamy vinaigrette that melds the flavors of these simple ingredients into a cohesive bouquet. Perfect for a vegetable-rich, everyday meal.

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 2.5 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. l. olive oil
  • 2 tsp finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 head Bibb lettuce, leaves separated
  • 2 ripe ox heart tomatoes, sliced
  • Half a small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons pitted Kalamata olives, halved
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise and vinegar with 0.5 teaspoon of salt and a few grinds of black pepper. Stir in the olive oil and parsley.
  • Step 2
  • Place the lettuce leaves on a large platter and top with tomatoes, onions, and olives. Drizzle with a little dressing and serve.
