Warm lettuce salad with nuts - detailed recipe.


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 1 shallot, thinly sliced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • Coarse salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 60 g cold butter, cut into cubes
  • 2 heads of lettuce, leaves torn by hand
  • 1/4 cup hazelnuts, toasted and chopped
  • 2 tbsp coarsely chopped greens (chives, parsley and chervil)
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Combine wine, shallot, bay leaf, sugar, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper in a skillet. Place the skillet on the stovetop and heat over medium-high heat until the mixture reduces to about 2 tablespoons, 8 to 10 minutes. Remove the skillet from the heat and discard the bay leaf. Stir in the butter and 1 teaspoon water.

  • Combine lettuce leaves, hazelnuts, and chopped herbs in a large salad bowl. Add the warm dressing and toss. Season the salad with salt and pepper.
