If you have a tough cut of beef that's not suitable for either frying or baking, you can make a wonderful dish by braising it whole in a slow cooker with vegetables. Meat cooked this way becomes incredibly tender and juicy. This dish is popular in America, where it's called pot roast. To make it even more visually appealing, use only small vegetables that can be braised whole. To prevent the vegetables from overcooking, add them to the slow cooker only 1-1.5 hours before the meat is ready. Add mushrooms for a stunning flavor and aroma.

3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.

1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:
- 1.5-2 kg of beef neck, trim off excess fat
- Seasoned salt And lemon pepper
- 1 onion, peeled and cut in half
- 1 carrot, whole
- 1 cup beef broth, lightly salted
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, whole
- 1 sprig of rosemary
- 2 sprigs of thyme
- 450 g of young red potatoes
- 1 cup small carrots
- 1 cup small or pearl onions
- 1 cup small squash or zucchini
- 1 cup small mushrooms without stems

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Season the meat with seasoned salt and lemon pepper to taste. Place the onions and carrots in the bottom of a 5-6 quart slow cooker. Place the meat on top of the vegetables. Pour in the broth and Worcestershire sauce. Add the garlic, rosemary, and thyme.
- Cover and set to low heat. Cook for 5-6 hours. Then remove the lid and arrange small vegetables around the meat. Sprinkle with seasoned salt and continue cooking, covered, at low heat for another 1-1.5 hours.
