Mint syrup and a squeeze of lemon juice will perfectly balance this creamy strawberry dessert. Prepare it ahead of time using fresh mint, water, and sugar, then add it to the remaining ingredients in a food processor. Freeze the granita for 4 hours, and the delicious dessert is ready. Serve garnished with fresh strawberry slices.

Ingredients for the recipe:
- 1 cup of water
- 0.5 cup sugar + 1 tbsp.
- 0.5 cup chopped fresh mint leaves
- 2 cups sliced strawberries + 1 cup finely chopped berries
- 0.5 tbsp. mascarpone cheese
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- A pinch of salt

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- In a small saucepan, combine water, 0.5 cups sugar, and mint and bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Let it simmer over low heat until the mint infuses. Then strain the syrup. Discard the mint.
- In a food processor, combine 2 cups of strawberries with the remaining 1 tablespoon of sugar. Process until pureed. Add the mascarpone cheese, lemon juice, and salt. Process until the mascarpone is completely incorporated. Add the mint syrup and process again. Transfer the strawberry mixture to an 8x8 inch glass dish and place it in the freezer. It will take about 4 hours to freeze.
- Before serving, scrape the granita with a fork. Divide it among chilled bowls. Top with finely chopped strawberries. Serve immediately.
