This velvety buttercream with a fresh, vibrant strawberry flavor will make you want to add it to a variety of desserts! The rich berry flavor comes from the strawberry jam. You can adjust the sweetness of the buttercream by adding more or less powdered sugar to suit your taste.

Ingredients:

  • 110 g of butter at room temperature
  • 4 cups powdered sugar + more as needed
  • 1/4 cup whole milk at room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2–3 tbsp. l. strawberry spread or jam
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Glaze:

    In a medium bowl, beat the butter with a hand mixer until light and smooth. Stir in 3 cups of powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Step 2
  • Combine the strawberry jam and vanilla glaze. Add 1 cup of powdered sugar and beat until smooth, adding more powdered sugar if necessary.
