This chocolate ice cream glaze hardens immediately upon contact with the cold dessert, creating a crispy chocolate crust that ice cream lovers love. Coconut oil gives the melted chocolate this crispy quality. Add it to dark, milk, or bittersweet chocolate and use the glaze immediately.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 2 tbsp. l. coconut oil
  • 220 g dark, milk or bitter chocolate, broken into pieces
  • 2 cups ice cream

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Melt the coconut oil and chocolate in a double boiler, stirring until melted. Turn off the heat and let the mixture cool for 5 minutes. Divide the ice cream into 3 bowls. Drizzle with the chocolate sauce; it will set immediately.
