A perfect homemade dessert for when you just want a cake, but without the hassle of layers, frosting, and frosting. Bake a cake "in a pot," or more precisely, in a loaf pan, coat it with a thick layer of soft chocolate glaze, and eat it straight from the pan with spoons!

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

Cake

  • Cooking spray to spray the pan
  • 1 and 1/4 cups premium flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 0.5 cups vegetable oil
  • 0.5 cups of sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 0.5 cups of sour milk or kefir
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder

Chocolate glaze

  • 3/4 cup sweetened condensed milk

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Position a rack in the middle of the oven and preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray a 9-inch loaf pan with cooking spray.
  2. Cake:

Sift together the flour and cornstarch. In a large bowl, whisk together the sour cream, butter, sugar, and egg until smooth, 1-2 minutes. In a small pitcher or another bowl, combine the buttermilk, vanilla extract, baking soda, and baking powder. Add to the bowl and stir.

  3. Add the flour mixture to the liquid mixture in two batches and knead until smooth and lump-free. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake until a tester inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean, 35-40 minutes. Set aside while you prepare the glaze.
  4. Chocolate glaze:

Combine the milk, chocolate, and butter in a saucepan and heat over medium heat. Stir until the chocolate melts and the mixture is smooth, about 3 minutes. Drizzle the glaze over the still-warm cake and serve immediately, spooning directly from the pan.
