We recommend

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Decorate the top of the cake first..

Using black gel, draw three arcs on the top of the cake (these are the wires). Draw tiny rectangles hanging from each arc, spaced 1 cm apart (these are the light bulb sockets). Cut the candies in half with kitchen scissors. You only need the rounded ends; set the trimmings aside for another use (or eat them!). Place each rounded end of the candy underneath a rectangle – these will be the light bulbs.
  • Step 2
  • Next, decorate the sides of the cake..

Using gel, draw arcs around the entire circumference of the cake, connecting the ends. Draw rectangular sockets, just as you did on the top of the cake. Press the candy light bulbs onto the sockets.
