The refreshing and invigorating taste of this lemonade lives up to its name when enjoyed on a hot summer day. The classic recipe only requires lemon juice, water, and simple syrup. To make simple syrup, you don't need to boil it: simply pour the sugar into a jar with hot water and shake thoroughly. Prepare each serving in a shaker and serve with plenty of ice. Leftover syrup can be stored in the refrigerator to keep on hand for your next "cup of joy."

Recipe:
Make the simple syrup: Place 1 cup sugar in a 950 ml (4 cups) jar with a lid; fill with hot water. Close and shake until the sugar dissolves. Let cool completely. For each serving: Fill a shaker two-thirds full with ice. Add 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 2 lemons) and 1/2 cup each simple syrup and water. Shake. Strain into glasses filled with ice.
