This bright, light dessert is the perfect finale to a festive or romantic dinner. A fantastic combination of juicy, sweet strawberries, smooth cream, and crisp meringue awaits you in a single glass. Layer all the ingredients in alternating layers, and garnish each serving with half a meringue. Assemble the parfait just before serving. Use frozen strawberries and enjoy this dessert year-round!
The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

- 450 g frozen strawberries, defrosted
- 2 tbsp sour cream
- 1 cup chilled whipping cream
- 8 meringue 5 cm each, break into pieces (about 2 cups) + 2 meringues, broken in half

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- In a medium bowl, mash the berries and any juices with a potato masher or fork to create a chunky sauce.
- Place the sour cream in a 1-cup measuring cup. Add enough chilled heavy cream to completely fill the cup. Transfer the cream mixture to a deep medium bowl. Beat the mixture with a hand mixer until stiff peaks form. Fold in the meringue pieces.
- Divide the sauce in half and spoon it into the bottom of four ramekins or glasses. Divide the cream mixture in half and spoon it over the sauce. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients. Top each parfait with half a meringue and serve immediately.
