Any dumpling soup is a surefire lunch option the whole family will enjoy, and this wonton soup is even more delicious: each piece of dough is filled with flavorful pork. These wontons require some cooked (roasted or braised) pork, so they're a great way to use up leftovers from last night's dinner. Simmer them in broth with shredded cabbage, and the soup will be on the table in less than 30 minutes!

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 6 cups lightly salted chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 0.5 cups minced or diced cooked pork
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. l. sesame oil
  • 16 pieces of wonton dough
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions

Recipes with similar ingredients: pork, Chinese cabbage (Napa), wonton dough, soy sauce, green onions

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Place the cabbage in a large saucepan, cover with broth, and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  2. Meanwhile, combine the pork, soy sauce, and sesame oil in a food processor. Pulse 3-4 times until the meat is finely chopped, but not pasty.

  3. Place 16 wonton squares on a flat surface. Spoon filling into the center of each square, leaving a 0.5 cm (1/4 inch) border (about 1 teaspoon per serving). Moisten the edges of the dough with water and pinch the corners of the wontons together at the center. Press the edges to seal.
  4. Drop the wontons into the simmering broth. Cook for 5 minutes, until soft and translucent. Remove from heat and stir in the green onions.
