In winter, when you crave fragrant homemade gingerbread but don't have time to work with gingerbread dough, this easy sugar cookie recipe will come to the rescue. Simply add fragrant spices—cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves—to sugar cookies. Cut out any shapes you like and decorate the finished cookies with icing.
The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:

3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:
- 0.5 cups butter
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1.5 cups premium flour
- 0.5 tsp baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 0.5 tsp ground ginger
- 0.5 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp ground cloves
- 1/8 tsp salt

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar with a mixer on medium speed. Add the egg and vanilla and beat well. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
- Slowly add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix on low speed until a stiff dough forms. For easier handling, refrigerate the dough for 1 hour. On a lightly floured work surface, roll the dough out to a thickness of 0.5 cm and cut out shapes.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Decorate the cookies with icing and sprinkles.
