Vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate ice cream are even more delicious when topped with a crispy baked mixture of cornflakes and coconut flakes. The dessert is served with delicious deep-fried puff pastries dipped in chocolate sauce.
The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.

1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:
Breaded ice cream
- 10 cups crushed cornflakes
- 1 cup coconut flakes
- 110 g melted butter
- 2 tbsp. granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 950 ml. vanilla ice cream
- 950 ml. strawberry ice cream
- 950 ml. chocolate ice cream
- Fried donuts, see recipe below
- Chocolate sauce for serving
Fried donuts
- 1900 ml canola oil
- 2 sheets of ready-made yeast puff pastry, cut into 5cm squares.
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- Special equipment: deep fat thermometer

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
Ice cream
Preheat oven to 160°C.- Combine cornflakes, coconut, butter, granulated sugar, and cinnamon in a large baking sheet and bake until golden brown and crispy, about 8 minutes.
- Using a 5cm ice cream scoop, form 4 balls of each ice cream flavor. Roll the balls on all sides in the cornflake mixture and freeze for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
- Serve ice cream with fried donuts and drizzle with chocolate sauce.
Fried donuts
- Heat oil in a large cast iron or tall, heavy-bottomed saucepan to 180°C.
- Fry the dough pieces in batches for about 1 minute, until puffed and golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on a plate lined with a towel.
- In a small bowl, combine powdered sugar and cocoa and sprinkle over fried donuts.
