Mint green pea puree is a traditional English dish. You can use frozen green peas to make it. Simmer them with mint and spring onions, then mash in a blender until smooth (or mash with a potato masher). The puree is mildly spicy and refreshing. Serve as a side dish with meat or fish, spread on toast, or serve as an appetizer with crackers or scones for dipping.
