If guests suddenly drop by or you're simply craving a tasty, and most importantly, healthy appetizer, take a bag of frozen peas out of the freezer, defrost them in boiling water, and whip them up into a thick dipping sauce in a blender. A ripe avocado will pair well with the green peas, giving the dip an even more delicate texture. You can add any spices you have on hand to this dip, such as garlic, fragrant fresh herbs, or extra-virgin olive oil. Guests usually love this kind of appetizer. Serve the dip in a deep bowl, lining it with toasted bread, crackers, or raw vegetables for dipping.
