Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Preheat oven to 220°C. Place sweet potato waffle fries on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Combine ground chili pepper, cumin, paprika, and cayenne pepper in a small bowl. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of the spice mixture over the waffle fries; set the rest aside.
  2. Bake the fries, stirring halfway through, until the edges are golden brown, about 25 minutes.

  3. Meanwhile, prepare the chili.:

Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add olive oil. Add the ground beef and pork and cook, breaking up the meat with a wooden spoon, until lightly browned, about 4 minutes. Reduce the heat to medium, add the onion and garlic, and cook until the vegetables are softened, 3 minutes. Sprinkle with the remaining spice mixture and season with salt; stir to coat.
  4. Add the beer and cook until almost completely dry, 1 minute. Add the tomatoes and adjust the heat to maintain a gentle simmer. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until the chili thickens, 15 minutes.
  5. Place the fries in the center of the pan or transfer them to a 9x13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with half the cheeses, top with the chili, and sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Bake until the cheese is melted, 5 minutes.
  6. Drizzle with sour cream, sprinkle with bell pepper, green onions and olives.
