This version of the Greyhound cocktail is a bit different from the classic. Vodka replaces gin, and the refreshing grapefruit is paired with rosemary, with its stunning pine notes that perfectly complement the citrus flavor. Rosemary syrup is easy to make at home and keeps well in the refrigerator.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


Cocktail

  • 120 ml red grapefruit juice
  • 60 ml of vodka
  • 30 ml rosemary syrup, recipe below
  • 1 small sprig of rosemary, for garnish

Rosemary syrup

  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 sprig of rosemary

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Combine grapefruit juice, vodka, and rosemary syrup in a cocktail glass. Stir, add ice cubes, and stir again. Garnish with a sprig of rosemary.
  2. Rosemary syrup:
    Yield: 1.5 cups

    Combine sugar, rosemary, and 1 cup of water in a small saucepan. Heat over low heat, stirring, until the sugar dissolves. Let cool, then remove the rosemary sprig. The syrup can be stored in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
