Sandwiches with juicy roast beef, meltingly tangy provolone cheese, pickles, and crispy fried onions are even more delicious after baking in the oven. A topping of poppy seeds, sesame seeds, dried onions, and garlic adds even more flavor.
The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:
- 165g melted butter + extra for greasing the pan
- 1 tbsp. poppy seeds
- 1 tbsp. sesame seeds
- 3/4 tsp dried garlic
- 0.5 tbsp. l. dried onions
- Coarse salt
- 1 package of sweet Hawaiian buns
- 700 g of thin slices of rare roast beef, preferably premium grade, such as Boar's Head
- 2 cups crispy fried onions, store-bought
- 450 g thin slices of spicy provolone
- 1 cup hot pickled cucumber slices

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Preheat oven to 175°C. Grease the bottom of a 22x32 cm baking dish. Mix melted butter, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, dried garlic, dried onion, and 1 teaspoon of salt.
- Without separating the buns, cut the entire layer in half. Place the bottom half in the prepared baking dish. Top with sliced roast beef, then crispy onions, a layer of provolone, and then a layer of pickles. Top with the bun tops. Mix butter with spices, then generously brush the tops of the buns, completely coating them.
- Bake, uncovered, until the cheese is melted and the tops of the buns are golden brown, 15–20 minutes. Cut the sandwiches with a chef's knife.
