Truth be told, a classic milkshake requires only two ingredients—milk and ice cream—but to enhance its flavor, Sunny Anderson adds one secret ingredient. It's vanilla, lemon, or almond extract, depending on the ice cream flavor (see Note). And don't forget about the additives, which transform an ordinary summer drink into a true flavor extravaganza.

Ingredients for the recipe:

Recipes with similar ingredients: milk, ice cream, vanilla extract
Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Place the ice cream, milk, and extract in a blender and blend until smooth. Add any desired toppings and blend again.
- Note
Choose the extract that best complements the flavor of your ice cream. Any of the above will work with vanilla ice cream. Lemon extract pairs well with fruit ice creams, such as strawberry or raspberry, while almond extract pairs well with chocolate and peanut butter. The extract will create a more vibrant flavor, more like a milkshake than melted ice cream.
