The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 3 large carrots, peeled and chopped
  • 3 medium onions, peeled and chopped
  • 900 g sweet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 900 g peeled and thinly sliced ​​white yams (white sweet potatoes)
  • 110 g dried apple rings (cut into quarters)
  • 225 g pitted prunes
  • 110 g coarsely chopped dried pears
  • 110 g dried apricots (if large, cut into halves)
  • 110 g dried cherries
  • 85 g dried cherries
  • 1 tbsp. brown sugar (tamp down)
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups of orange juice
  • 2 cups white wine (sweet or dry)

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. In a 5.5-6 quart slow cooker, add carrots, onions, sweet potatoes, yams, dried apples, prunes, dried pears, dried apricots, and dried cherries. Stir. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.

    Pour in the orange juice and wine, and add enough water to cover the pan. Set the slow cooker to HIGH and cook for 10-11 hours, until the vegetables are tender. Serve hot or at room temperature.
