Time: 15 min.
Complexity: easily
Quantity: 3 quesadillas

A simple and quick recipe. Plus, it's a great way to use up a can of tuna. You can even try making these quesadillas in the microwave. It only takes a minute to assemble and another minute to reheat. The melted cheese ties all the flavors together beautifully.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 2 small (85g) cans of tuna, drained and divided into pieces
  • 1/2 cup salsa, make it thicker by removing excess liquid
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 tbsp. coarsely grated cheddar
  • 3 (diameter 30 cm.) wheat tortillas
  • Basil

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Mix the tuna with salsa and green onions. Add the cheddar. Divide the mixture into 3 portions and distribute among the tortillas, spreading the filling along one edge. Top with basil leaves. Then fold the tortillas in half like tacos.
  2. Toast each quesadilla on both sides in a hot skillet until the cheese melts and seals the filling. Cool slightly, cut into triangles, and serve.
