Quesadillas have never been easier to make! No need to heat up the stove or frying pan. All you need is an electric waffle iron. A delicious quesadilla with a crispy crust and gooey cheese will be ready in just ten minutes.

  • 0.5 cups grated cheddar
  • 2 wheat tortillas (sized to fit your waffle iron)
  • 2 tablespoons salsa, such as Pace Picante
  • Cooking spray to spray the waffle iron
  • Special equipment: waffle iron
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Preheat waffle iron to medium heat according to manufacturer's instructions.
  • Step 2
  • Sprinkle cheese over 1 tortilla, add salsa, and top with a second tortilla. Spray a waffle iron with cooking spray. Place the quesadilla in the waffle iron, close the lid, and cook until the cheese is melted, 2–3 minutes. Slice and serve.
