Individual quiche in tartlets is a convenient appetizer that looks quite festive and is perfect not only for breakfast but also for special occasions. The tartlets are made with pie crust, or store-bought. After placing it in the tins, prick the crust with a fork to prevent it from puffing up too much and the filling from leaking out. Fill the pre-baked tartlets with a mixture of eggs, fried bacon, and green onions. This flavor combination is a surefire winner that's always a delight. Crumbled goat cheese adds a velvety texture and adds a tart flavor to the quiche.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C. Spray 6 11cm tartlet pans with cooking spray.
  2. Roll out the pie dough. Using a 12 cm cookie cutter, cut out 6 circles from the dough.

  3. Place each circle into the prepared pan and press firmly against the sides and bottom. Bake until golden brown, 15-18 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
  4. While the crusts are baking, prepare the filling. Place the bacon in a medium skillet over medium heat and cook until crisp. Add the green onions and garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes until softened. Season with salt and pepper and remove from heat to cool.
  5. Reduce oven temperature to 175°C.
  6. Whisk the eggs and cream together, then fold into the bacon and green onion mixture. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Crumble the goat cheese into the prepared tartlets.
  7. Spoon the filling into the tartlets. Place the tartlets on a baking sheet (as the filling may leak out) and bake until the filling is cooked through and golden brown, about 25 minutes.
