Autumn sangria is made with sparkling red wine and seasonal fruits: oranges and pomegranate. Enhance their flavor with orange and pomegranate liqueurs. For spices, add just a fragrant sprig of rosemary. The beauty of this cocktail is that everyone loves sangria, and also how easy it is to make for a crowd: just throw everything in a pitcher except the wine and let it steep in the refrigerator. When guests arrive, top up with sparkling wine and serve with ice.

In a pitcher, combine 1 cup water, the juice of 1 blood orange, 2 torn sprigs rosemary, 1/4 cup orange liqueur, 2 tablespoons garnet liqueur, and 1-2 tablespoons superfine sugar. Add 1 sliced orange and 1/2 cup pomegranate seeds and refrigerate overnight. When guests arrive, fill the pitcher with ice and stir in a bottle of chilled dry sparkling red wine.
