Time: 1 hour 10 min.
Complexity: easily
Quantity: 2 tbsp.

This barbecue sauce has just five basic ingredients and is incredibly easy to make: just add everything to a saucepan, stir, and simmer until the desired consistency is reached. The sauce's flavor is complex and multifaceted, with tartness, subtle sweetness, smoky flavor, and spice. It's perfect for serving with cooked meats and burgers, as well as for basting chicken before grilling. It can be stored in a jar in the refrigerator for up to a week or in the freezer for up to six months, divided into several containers.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

We recommend

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to maintain a gentle simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has reduced by about half or reaches your desired consistency, about 1 hour.
  2. Cool completely, then pour into a container, seal tightly and refrigerate. Use barbecue sauce within 1 week or freeze for up to 6 months..
