A frozen cocktail isn't just a relaxing drink: it can also be a light dessert for adults, a pleasant refreshment after dinner. Garnish each serving with a twist of lemon zest. Twisting lemon zest releases its aromatic oils, so it's not just for aesthetics but also for an even more vibrant flavor.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 200 g strawberries (about 1.5 cups)
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (from 2 lemons) + lemon zest swirls for garnish
  • 0.5 cups of gin

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Hull the strawberries and arrange them on a plate. Freeze until firm, at least 1 hour.
  2. Meanwhile, prepare the simple syrup.:

    Combine 1/3 cup water and sugar in a saucepan and heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Let cool.

  3. Combine sugar syrup, frozen strawberries, 1.5 cups of ice, lemon juice, and gin in a blender. Blend until smooth and thick.
  4. Pour the cocktail into glasses. Garnish each glass with lemon zest.
