This frozen dessert, made with just three ingredients, is perfect for a hot summer day. No special equipment is required: simply freeze sweet, strong coffee in a tray, then scrape it with a fork until it turns into a fluffy, snow-like mass. Divide into bowls and serve immediately.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 3 cups of strong hot coffee
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Place the coffee, sugar, and vanilla extract in a medium bowl and whisk until the sugar is completely dissolved. Pour the mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish, cover with plastic wrap, and freeze until completely set, at least 6 hours or overnight.
  2. When ready to serve, scrape the frozen coffee mixture with a fork to create crushed ice. Divide the shaved ice into small bowls or ice cream cups. Serve frozen.
