This version of tiramisu is prepared in martini glasses, has a more pronounced coffee flavor, and contains just enough alcohol to give you a slight buzz. Kahlua coffee liqueur is added to the cream, and the Savoiardi biscuits are soaked in a mixture of vodka and coffee. The dessert is easy to assemble, but your guests will think you spent hours on it. Garnish the tiramisu just before serving, once it's thoroughly saturated.

1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. In a liquid measuring cup, stir together 1 tablespoon of espresso powder and coffee liqueur until the coffee dissolves. Set aside.
  2. In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the mascarpone and powdered sugar on low speed until smooth, about 15 seconds. With the mixer running, slowly pour in the coffee mixture, then the cream, and continue beating until all the liquid is incorporated.

  3. Increase mixer speed to medium-high and continue beating until medium peaks form, about 1 minute. Set aside.
  4. In a small bowl, combine vodka, granulated sugar, the remaining 2 tablespoons espresso powder, and 3/4 cup warm water until the sugar and coffee are completely dissolved.
  5. Fill the bottom third of each of four 8-8 oz (210-220 ml) martini glasses with mascarpone cream and smooth it out with the back of a spoon. Dip one biscuit half into the coffee mixture for 2 seconds, wetting each side until soaked but not soggy. Arrange 2 soaked Savoiardi halves on top of the cream in each glass. Spoon more cream on top, filling the glasses another third, and smooth it out with the back of a spoon.
  6. Dip 3 more cookie halves into the coffee mixture for 2 seconds on each side and arrange them on top of the mascarpone cream. Fill each martini glass with the remaining cream. Using a small offset spatula, gently smooth the surface of the cream in each glass.
  7. Cover each glass loosely with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 4 hours.
  8. Remove the tiramisu glasses from the refrigerator. Place a small sheet of parchment paper over half of the glass. Generously sift the cocoa powder through a sieve over the open half. Remove the parchment paper. Repeat with the remaining three servings of tiramisu.
  9. Garnish each serving with three chocolate-covered coffee beans and serve.
