An incredibly simple side dish for holiday turkey, this casserole is a cross between cornbread and corn pudding. It's moist and delicious, topped with a gooey, cheesy crust of aromatic, sharp cheddar! This dish is perfect for serving at home during the holidays, or if you're traveling with a treat.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1 can (430 g) canned corn, drained
  • 1 can (400 g) of canned creamed corn
  • 1 package (220 g) dry corn muffin mix, such as Jiffy
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 170 g smoked ham, diced
  • 4 green onions, chopped, plus extra for serving
  • 1.5 cups freshly grated sharp cheddar

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (160°C). Spray a 9-inch square baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, combine all the corn, corn muffin mix, sour cream, and butter. Add the ham and green onions and toss to combine. Pour everything into the prepared baking dish and bake until golden brown, about 1 hour and 15 minutes.

  3. Sprinkle evenly with cheddar and continue baking until the cheese is melted, about 5 minutes. Garnish with green onions before serving.
