This delicious and filling salad of long-grain and wild rice, sweet grape tomatoes, and green onions in a refreshing orange dressing is juicy and vibrant. It's great chilled or warm. Serve as a standalone appetizer or as a side dish with meat or fish.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1 package (170 g) of long-grain and wild rice mix
  • 2 tbsp lemon-infused olive oil
  • Zest and juice of half an orange
  • 2 green onions
  • 0.5 cups grape tomatoes

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Cook the rice according to package instructions. Let it cool to room temperature.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the onion and tomatoes.

  3. In a small bowl, combine the oil, orange zest and juice, and salt and black pepper to taste. Pour the oil mixture over the onions and tomatoes and add the cooked rice. Stir, then cover the bowl and refrigerate until ready to serve. The salad can be served cold or at room temperature.
