This chili dish, made with a simple recipe from Ree Drummond, is made with ground beef, two types of beans, and a pinch of cayenne pepper for extra heat.
The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:
- 900 g of ground beef
- 2 chopped cloves of garlic
- 1 can (230 g) of tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground oregano
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/4 cup corn flour
- 1 can (450 g) red beans (drained and rinsed)
- 1 can (450 g) pinto beans, drained and rinsed
- Coarsely grated cheddar cheese, for serving
- Chopped onion, for serving
- Corn tortillas, for serving
- Lime wedges, for serving

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Place the ground beef in a large saucepan and add the garlic. Sauté over medium heat. Drain any excess fat, then add the tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt, and cayenne pepper. Mix well, cover, and reduce the heat to low. Simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally. If the mixture becomes too dry, add water 1/2 cup at a time.
- After an hour, place the cornmeal in a small bowl. Add 1/2 cup water and mix well with a fork. Pour this mixture into the chili. Mix well, taste, and adjust seasonings if needed. To achieve the desired consistency, add more batter or water, or simply add more cornmeal. Add the beans and simmer for 10 minutes. Serve the chili with grated cheese, chopped onion, corn tortillas, and lime wedges.
