Oven-baked lamb ribs are a delicious and mouth-watering dish. The lamb is very tender and juicy. Spicy seasonings imbue the dish with a sophisticated aroma and flavor, while the yogurt sauce adds a piquant, fresh flavor to the ribs, making the meat even more tender.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


Ribs

  • 1.5 kg. lamb ribs
  • 3 tsp dried oregano
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • Finely grated zest of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 tsp fine salt
  • 2 tbsp. l. olive oil

Sauce

  • 60 g finely crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped mint leaves
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 200 gr. low-fat yogurt

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Place a baking rack on a baking sheet. Place the first six ingredients in a bag and mix thoroughly.

    Spread the ribs evenly in a single layer on the rack and roast for 1 hour 30 minutes, or until cooked through. Check the ribs for doneness after 1 hour 15 minutes, as cooking time will vary depending on their size.
  2. To make the sauce, combine the last four ingredients in a saucepan and let it simmer and infuse with flavors.

  3. Serve the lamb ribs hot with yogurt sauce.
