Fluffy, ready-to-eat rice on a plate is ideal for any cook. This side dish always looks pleasing and is aesthetically pleasing. While inexperienced cooks can overcook rice in a saucepan and turn it into a sticky mess, it turns out excellent in a slow cooker, even if you're a novice cook. The key to a successful side dish is a 1:1 ratio of rice to water. Place long-grain rice in a slow cooker, cover with water, add a pinch of salt, and cook in a pressure cooker. The high pressure of the pressure cooker increases the temperature inside the pot, meaning your rice will be ready in just 10 minutes, fluffy and grain-perfect.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Rinse the rice under cold running water until the water runs clear; drain well. Place the rice, salt, and 2 cups of water in a 6-quart multicooker and, following the manufacturer's instructions, close the lid and prepare the multicooker for use. Set the pressure cooker to high pressure and cook for 10 minutes (see Note). After the pressure cooker cycle is complete, follow the manufacturer's instructions to release steam and allow the natural release cycle to complete, about 10 minutes. Open and remove the lid, being careful not to burn yourself with any remaining steam.
- Fluff the rice with the tines of a fork and serve.
