In addition to the main ingredients of traditional hummus—chickpeas and tahini—this appetizer also includes fresh and granulated garlic and onion powder. These spices imbue the paste with a unique, balanced flavor and aroma, adding a piquant touch. It can be served as a dip for fresh vegetables and pita chips, or spread on bread for sandwiches.

- 1.5 tsp onion powder
- 1.5 tsp granulated garlic
