Ingredients:

  • 1 can (425 g) of chickpeas (drain the liquid)
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 sprig fresh oregano (leaves chopped)
  • A handful of fresh parsley
  • 1 finely chopped clove of garlic
  • Salt
  • 2 heaping tablespoons of tahini sesame paste
  • A little olive oil
  • 1/4 cup coarsely chopped olives (drained brine)
  • 220 g crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 pack. pita chips
  • Paprika for sprinkling
  • 1/2 seedless cucumber, sliced ​​into sticks (for serving with dipping sauce)
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, seeded and cut into strips (for serving with dipping sauce)
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, juice of 1 lemon, oregano, and parsley. Using the flat side of a knife, mash the garlic into a paste with a pinch of salt and add to the processor along with the sesame paste.
  • Step 2
  • Whisk the hummus, adding olive oil, until smooth, then transfer to a bowl and top with olives, reserving a few for garnish. Sprinkle with paprika and feta cheese. Serve with pita chips and vegetable sticks.
