If you haven't tried kohlrabi yet, now's the time to get acquainted with it in this juicy, vitamin-packed apple salad. Kohlrabi and Granny Smith apples are sliced ​​into strips of equal thickness, making it difficult to tell them apart—and that's the beauty of it! A delicious combination of flavors awaits. Dress the salad with vinaigrette, sprinkle with toasted, shelled sunflower seeds, and you're ready to go. Serve as an appetizer or as a side dish with grilled meat.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 2 kohlrabi cabbage
  • 1 large Granny Smith apple
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 3 tablespoons of seeds

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. In a large bowl, combine 3 tablespoons olive oil, 2 tablespoons each white balsamic vinegar and finely chopped chives, 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard, 1/4 teaspoon sugar, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Slice 2 peeled kohlrabi and 1 large Granny Smith apple into strips. Add to the dressing along with 3 tablespoons of toasted salted sunflower seeds. Season with salt and pepper to taste and toss.
