The classic French salad "Niçoise" is a delicious combination of fresh greens, tuna, and olives in a tart vinaigrette. Various recipes add other ingredients, such as tomatoes, green beans, eggs, or, as in this version, boiled potatoes. The latter makes the salad more filling, while the green beans add a touch of richness. This salad can be served as a side dish or an appetizer, and is perfect for picnics.
The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

- 2 cups green beans
- 1 can (185 g) tuna

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- In a bowl, combine 1 cup finely chopped parsley, chives, and tarragon, 1/2 cup finely chopped shallots, 1/3 cup white wine, 1/4 cup olive oil, 2 tablespoons each white wine vinegar and Dijon mustard, and salt and black pepper to taste.
- Mix with 900 g of boiled halved fingerling potatoes, 2 cups of chopped green beans (boiled for 4 minutes), 1 can of tuna in oil (drained), and 0.5 cups of halved Kalamata olives.
