With this simple recipe, you can easily transform store-bought pizza dough into a sweet, bone-shaped appetizer served with a raspberry sauce that resembles blood. It looks spooky and delicious. A perfect treat for a Halloween party!



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • Cooking spray
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp lime zest + 1 tbsp lime juice (1 large lime)
  • 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
  • A pinch of salt
  • 0.5 cup seedless raspberry jam
  • 1 can (350 g) chilled pizza dough
  • 1 beaten egg

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Preheat oven to 200°C. Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray. Set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the coconut, sugar, lime zest, nutmeg, and a pinch of salt. Set aside. In another small bowl, combine the raspberry jam with the lime juice. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

  3. Roll out the pizza dough with a rolling pin into a 25x30 cm rectangle. Use a pizza cutter to cut the dough into twelve 2.5 cm wide strips.
  4. Tie both ends of the strips into a knot and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Brush each "bone" with a small amount of beaten egg, then sprinkle with the coconut mixture.
  5. Bake until golden brown and the pits are puffed, 13–16 minutes. Remove from the pan and serve with raspberry-lime "blood" for dipping.
