We recommend

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Fill the avocado with cream cheese
Cut the avocado in half and remove the pit. Carefully peel each half. Form two small balls of cream cheese; press one ball into one half where the pit used to be.
  • Step 2
  • Place cream cheese in the other avocado half.
Done. Now the cream cheese is in both avocado halves.
  • Step 3
  • Combine the avocado with the curd filling inside
Press the two halves together, using the cream cheese to hold them together.
  • Step 4
  • Cover the nut with rice
Place cooled, cooked sushi rice on top of the avocado in a brain shape, leaving a small groove down the center.

  • Step 5
  • Slice the smoked salmon
Thinly slice smoked salmon. Roll each piece into an irregular shape.
  • Step 6
  • Wrap the salmon around the base in a convoluted pattern
Insert each rolled salmon slice into the rice, forming a brain shape. Work quickly and carefully, making sure your hands are clean and cool.
  • Step 7
  • Press the salmon with film to compact it and press lightly.
Continue layering the salmon until the sides are completely covered, but a small indentation remains in the center of the "brain." Gently press the plastic wrap around the dish to seal the salmon pieces together and remove any protruding rice.
  • Step 8
  • Make a path of caviar in the depression
Remove the wrapper and carefully spoon the tobiko (flying fish roe) into the indentation along the center of the brain.

  • Step 9
  • Press the caviar through the film
Press another sheet of plastic wrap over the brain to form it; carefully remove it.
  • Step 10
  • Zombie Sushi for Halloween
Now you have an appetizer that looks like a real brain, but tastes like a smoked salmon sushi roll.
  • Step 11
  • Halloween Sushi
Serve the brain sushi roll with wasabi, soy sauce and pickled ginger.
