You don't have to be a sushi fan to enjoy this dish. It's a fun, simple, and healthy dessert idea for a kids' party. If the "sushi" isn't sweet enough, you can double the butter and marshmallows. A little vanilla wouldn't hurt either.


Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp (15 g) butter
  • 2/3 cup mini marshmallows
  • 2 tbsp. boiled rice
  • 1 banana, thinly sliced
  • 240ml assorted fruit (e.g. strawberry, pineapple, kiwi and melon)
  • Thinly sliced ​​mini chocolate chips and toasted coconut flakes, for sprinkling on sushi (optional)
  • Special equipment: nigiri sushi mold or plastic ice cube tray
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Sweet sticky rice for sushi: In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and marshmallows until completely softened. Remove from the heat and stir in the cooked rice until evenly distributed.
  • Step 2
  • Spray a nigiri sushi mold with a little vegetable oil. Take the fruit slices and place them one by one in the bottom of the mold or ice cube tray. Spoon in the rice and press gently. Remove the sushi and sprinkle with chocolate chips and toasted coconut flakes, if desired.
