Those who enjoy refreshing themselves in the summer heat with Spanish sangria will appreciate this even more refreshing fruit ice pop made with this drink. Red wine is reduced on the stovetop and then infused in the refrigerator with pomegranate, orange, and grape juices, as well as orange, apple, and pear slices. Pour into molds and freeze. A small amount of corn syrup in the sangria gives the ice a smoother texture. A perfect treat for summer house parties.

Recipe:
In a small saucepan, combine 1/4 cup each sugar and water and heat over medium heat; cook until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let cool completely. Pour 750 ml of fruity red wine into a medium saucepan and simmer over medium heat until the volume is reduced to about 2.5 cups, about 10 minutes.
Add cooled simple syrup, 1 cup unsweetened pomegranate juice, 2 tablespoons each corn syrup, orange juice, and red grape juice, along with 2 sliced apples, oranges, and pears. Cool, refrigerate, and let steep overnight. Strain the mixture and fill popsicle molds with the sangria; freeze for 12 hours or overnight.
