A fruit salad with character. A blend of red and white grapes, strawberries, and honeydew melon is drizzled with a simple syrup infused with fiery jalapeño and refreshing lime zest. The flavor is perfectly balanced: sweet, spicy, and citrusy notes perfectly complement each other and the juicy fruit. Fresh mint is the perfect complement to the fruit. Cowboy Fruit Salad
- 1 cup strawberries, hulled and halved
- 1 cup diced honeydew melon
- 1 cup seedless white grapes, halved lengthwise
- 1 cup seedless red grapes, halved lengthwise
- 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves, chopped
Hot syrup
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 jalapeño, halved lengthwise and seeded
- Zest and juice of half a lime

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Hot syrup:
Combine the sugar, jalapeño, and 1/2 cup water in a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring constantly, until the sugar dissolves.
