This salad, filled with fruits like melon, papaya, pineapple, mango, lychee, and coconut flakes, will transport you to the tropical islands. The fruit is drizzled with a refreshing dressing of coconut milk and lime juice, a few star anise add a wonderful spicy note, and a pinch of salt complements the fruity sweetness, creating a more complex flavor. Chill the salad before serving and enjoy.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 2 cups diced cantaloupe melon
  • 2 cups diced honeydew melon
  • 2 cups ripe papaya, diced
  • 2 cups fresh pineapple, cored and diced
  • 0.5 cup coconut milk
  • 2 tbsp. ultrafine sugar
  • Juice of 2 limes + 1 tsp finely grated zest
  • 6 lychees, peeled, pitted and coarsely chopped
  • 3 star anise
  • 2 mangoes, peeled, pitted and diced
  • Coconut flakes, for serving

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. In a large bowl, combine the melon, papaya, pineapple, coconut milk, sugar, lime juice and zest, lychee, star anise, mango, and a pinch of salt. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour. Remove the dressing from the salad. Transfer the salad to a serving platter. Sprinkle with coconut flakes.
