Fresh Mexican salsa can be made with a grater, and it won't take you more than 10 minutes. You'll need a four-sided grater, as some ingredients will need to be grated on the large holes, while others will need to be on the small ones. Place it directly in a deep bowl, and you won't even have to dirty your cutting board. Serve the fresh salsa as an appetizer with tortilla chips for dipping.
The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:
- 3 large plum tomatoes
- A quarter of a white onion, peeled
- 1 jalapeno pod
- 1 small clove of garlic
- 1 lime
- 2 tbsp chopped cilantro leaves
- Tortilla chips, for serving

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Place a coarse grater in a large bowl. Grate the tomatoes. Drain any excess water from the bowl. Keeping the onion layers together, grate it using the coarse grater as well.
- Grate half a jalapeño on a fine grater, discarding the seeds as you go. Grate the garlic on a fine grater.
- Add lime zest to the salsa by finely grating the rind. Cut the lime in half and squeeze the juice into the salsa. Season with salt to taste.
- Stir cilantro leaves into the salsa and serve with tortilla chips.
