If you're looking for a new and exciting appetizer for your party, try this fruit salsa with homemade cinnamon chips. Everyone will love it! Fresh fruit and berries are chopped into small pieces and dressed with aromatic apple jelly. The chips are easily made with wheat tortillas in the oven.
The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:
Sweet fruit salsa
- 2 sour green apples
- 1 kiwi
- 0.5 cups red seedless grapes
- 1 cup fresh strawberries
- 1 small orange
- 2 tbsp. l. brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground Saigon cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons apple jelly
Cinnamon chips
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tsp ground Saigon cinnamon
- 10 wheat tortillas, 20 cm in diameter.
- 1 tbsp melted butter or margarine

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Salsa:
Finely chop the apples, kiwi, grapes, and strawberries and place in a medium bowl. Grate the orange zest and measure out 1 teaspoon. Juice the orange. - Add the juice and grated zest to the chopped fruit. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and apple cider vinegar. Fold the dressing over the fruit, tossing gently. Refrigerate for 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld.
- Cinnamon chips:
Preheat oven to 200°C. Combine sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Brush one side of the tortillas with melted butter. Sprinkle the tortillas with the sugar-cinnamon mixture. - Cut each flatbread into 8 triangles (like a pizza) and place on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 5 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool. Serve with fruit salsa.
