This recipe is a lifesaver if you're often left without a proper breakfast because you're running late for work or school. Instead of using packaged oatmeal, make your own instant oatmeal using natural, familiar ingredients, including dried apples and apple butter (a savory, thick applesauce). Combine all the ingredients in a container overnight and refrigerate. In the morning, grab the container, add boiling water, let it sit for a few minutes, and enjoy delicious, hot oatmeal with the magical aroma of apple and cinnamon.
