This healthy green oatmeal is perfect for an energizing breakfast. Cook the oatmeal in water and serve with low-fat Greek yogurt, a protein-rich yogurt flavored with Japanese matcha green tea. Matcha is packed with antioxidants and will give you energy all day long. For a crunchy bite, top it with chopped pistachios and a julienned green apple. Sweeten it all with natural maple syrup. Sprinkle with matcha powder and enjoy the wonderful combination of flavors and textures.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 2 cups of oatmeal with bran
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt, 2% fat
  • 2 tbsp. maple syrup
  • 1 tsp matcha powder + extra for sprinkling
  • 4 tbsp dry roasted unsalted pistachios, finely chopped
  • 1 Granny Smith apple, sliced ​​into strips

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. In a medium saucepan, combine 3.5 cups water and 0.5 teaspoon salt and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and stir in the oats. Cook, stirring frequently, until tender, 5-6 minutes. Remove from heat, cover, and let simmer until slightly thickened, about 2 minutes.
  2. In a small bowl, combine yogurt, 1 tablespoon maple syrup, and matcha until smooth. Set aside.

  3. Divide the oatmeal among four bowls and top each with 1/4 cup matcha-flavored yogurt. Sprinkle with chopped pistachios and drizzle with the remaining maple syrup. Garnish each serving with apple slices and matcha powder.
