Patties: The title of this Food Network recipe says it all: "Great Hamburger Patties." Keep this time-tested recipe on hand for those times when you're craving something meaty. And to really up the ante, try Guy Fieri's Double-Fried Fries as a side dish. The double-frying technique ensures crispy fries every time.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 700 g of ground beef shoulder (20% fat)
  • Salt and ground black pepper
  • 8 thin slices cheddar cheese (optional)
  • 4 soft sesame seed buns, halved
  • Boston Bibb lettuce leaves and sliced ​​tomato for garnish
  • Double-fried French fries, for filing

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. In a large bowl, evenly sprinkle the ground beef with 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Gently form the meat into 4 balls, then press them lightly to form patties 4 inches wide and 1 inch thick. Make a 2-inch-wide indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb to prevent them from puffing up when grilling.
  2. Preheat the grill to high. Season the patties with salt and pepper. Grill, without moving, until stripes appear on the bottom, 3 to 5 minutes.

    Flip and cook until stripes appear on the other side and the patties are firm, another 3-5 minutes. Optionally, top each patty with 2 slices of cheese during the last minute of cooking and cover with a disposable aluminum pan to melt.

    Serve the cutlets on buns, topped with lettuce leaves and tomato slices.
