Give Mexican guacamole an Asian twist. Mashed avocado is mixed with wasabi powder, pickled ginger, lime juice, jalapeño pepper, and herbs. This savory appetizer is perfect for a house party, served with alcoholic drinks and crackers for dipping.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Mix 1 teaspoon each of wasabi powder and water; set aside for 15 minutes.
- Halve 3 avocados and remove the pits; scoop the flesh into a large bowl and mash with a fork.
Add the juice of 2 limes, 2 tablespoons chopped pickled ginger and 1 tablespoon ginger brine, 1 finely chopped jalapeño (seeds removed), 3 thinly sliced green onions, 3 tablespoons chopped cilantro and 1 teaspoon coarse salt. - Add the wasabi mixture and stir.
