Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Rinse the rice in a fine sieve under cold water for 30 seconds. Drain.
- In a wide medium saucepan, cover the rice with 2 cups of water, season with salt, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer until all the liquid is absorbed, about 30 minutes. Remove from heat and let sit, covered, for 10 minutes. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve.
